SEAWI | Board of Director Nominations
SEAWI is now accepting nominations for open Board of Director positions. Nominees will be contacted and elections will be scheduled following the close of the nomination period. Terms for new board members will begin in July of this year.
Please nominate yourself or others for any of the open positions listed below. Note that 2 PDHs per will be awarded for each year of service. All questions regarding open positions should be sent to [email protected]. SEAWI is an all-volunteer organization, and your involvement is key to our success and growth!
Regional Directors (Northeast Region, Northwest Region, Southeast Region, Southwest Region)
Regional directors represent the needs, wants, and concerns of the SEA members in their region and serve a 2 year term as a voting member of the board of directors. They help plan one to two site visits and/or continuing education events per year. They also provide input on formation, staffing, or elimination of committees during monthly board meetings.
Estimated time commitment: 1 hour per month
President-Elect
The president-elect is a voting member of the board of directors and serves a 1 year term followed by a 1 year president term and a 1 year past president term. The president-elect attends monthly board meetings and other meetings to learn the responsibilities for their upcoming president term. They shall assume the responsibilities of the president if the president is absent from participation.
Estimated time commitment: 1 hour per month
Secretary
The secretary is a voting member of the board of directors and serves a 2 year term. Their responsibilities include attending monthly board meetings, recording and distributing meeting minutes for monthly board meetings, and responding to messages sent to the SEAWI email account.
